What we collect

You can use this site without giving us any personal data. There are no accounts, forms, newsletters or comments, and we don't use advertising cookies. Analytics cookies are only set if you agree to them (see below).

Visitor statistics (Google Analytics) and cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 from Google Ireland Limited to count visits and see which pages and events people look at, so we can improve the site. Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland are asked first.

If you accept, Google Analytics sets the cookies _ga and _ga_M8JGDVT2JF (kept for up to 2 years) to recognise repeat visits. Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and section 99 of Cyprus law 112(I)/2004).

If you reject, or until you choose, no analytics cookies are set. Google still receives limited technical data without cookies (such as the page address, the time, your browser and that consent wasn't given), which it uses to estimate visitor numbers. It can't recognise you across visits. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in counting visits (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage (cem_consent), not sent to us. You can change it any time with Cookie settings, also in the footer. Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months. Google may transfer data to the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. See Google's privacy policy.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Netlify, Inc. When you visit, Netlify processes technical data such as your IP address, browser and the time of the request to deliver the pages and protect the service. This is necessary to run the website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Google Maps

The map on the homepage and the maps on venue pages are provided by Google Ireland Limited (Google Maps JavaScript API and Maps Embed API). When a map loads, your browser connects to Google's servers, which receive your IP address and may set cookies. Google may transfer data to the United States. See Google's privacy policy.

Google Fonts

The site's fonts are loaded from Google's servers, which receive your IP address.

Links to other websites

Ticket, venue and organiser links lead to other websites with their own privacy policies.

Event information

Listings may name performers, organisers and venues as published by the organisers. To correct or remove a listing, email us at hello@cypruseventsmap.com.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. You can also complain to the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus (dataprotection.gov.cy).
