Babies Are Brought by the Stork: Griechische Gesellschaftskomödie im Anemona Theatre

Babies Are Brought by the Stork, written by Thanasis Papathanasiou and Michalis Reppas, is a social comedy from Greece that Anemona Theatre stages in Latsia, Nicosia, to open its 2026–2027 season. It is set in Thessaloniki in 1943, during the German occupation, where two childless couples share a former café and pastry shop turned makeshift home. Their shared wish for a baby, along with hunger and fear, gives way to a story that moves between laughter and tenderness until a hunted escapee from Auschwitz comes seeking shelter. Marinos Xenophontos directs a cast that includes Eirini Konstantinou, Giannis Kokkinos and Christopher Greco. Children under 13 may attend only with a parent's consent.
