About this event
The Satirical Theatre presents Lucy Prebble's The Effect, a play staged for the first time in Cyprus and directed by Evita Ioannou. Connie and Tristan take part in a clinical trial for a new antidepressant and fall in love, but soon wonder whether their feelings are real or a side effect of the medication. The play, written in 2012 for the National Theatre in London, explores love, mental health and the ethics of science with humour and sensitivity. The performance runs for 90 minutes without an interval and is suitable for ages 16 and over. Tickets are priced at €13 - €16, and entry is free for viewers with mobility difficulties.
